Respite care for family caregivers in Longmont, CO

Respite care is a dependable caregiver stepping in so the family caregiver can work, travel, rest, or handle an emergency.

What it is, in our words

Respite care is a dependable caregiver stepping in so the family caregiver can work, travel, rest, or handle an emergency. It can be a few hours on a Tuesday, a week while you are out of state, or a standing afternoon every week. We do not replace family. We support them. And because there is no required minimum, you can keep us as a trusted back-pocket service for the next time.

Who it is for

  • An adult child who is caring for a parent and has not had a day off in months
  • A spouse who needs to get to their own appointments
  • A family with a trip, a wedding, a reunion, or a funeral coming up
  • A caregiver who is burning out and knows it

What we do

  • Personal care, meals, companionship, and household help while you are away
  • A few hours, a full day, overnights, or a week of coverage
  • Standing weekly or biweekly visits so the break actually happens
  • Coverage alongside hospice or palliative providers
  • Travel companionship and help at weddings, reunions, funerals, and other events
  • Temporary support for a move, a visiting relative, or another life transition

What we do not do

  • Skilled nursing, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment
  • Injections or medication administration (we do medication reminders)
  • Wound or drain care, feeding tubes, or respiratory treatment
  • Physical, occupational, or speech therapy
  • Emergency or medical transportation (rides are in an ordinary passenger vehicle, within our non-medical scope)

  3. 3
A plan built around the person.A few hours, overnights, recovery support, or ongoing care. There is no required minimum number of care hours per day or week.
  4. 4
A caregiver matched by personality. We match personalities, not only schedules and care needs. You always have the office to call, and care can go up or down as needs change.
