Personal care at home in Longmont, CO
Personal care is the hands-on help with daily living that keeps someone safe and comfortable at home: bathing and showering, dressing and grooming, toileting and incontinence care, getting up and moving safely, eating and staying hydrated, and the morning, evening, and bedtime routines that make a day feel normal.
What it is, in our words
Personal care is the hands-on help with daily living that keeps someone safe and comfortable at home: bathing and showering, dressing and grooming, toileting and incontinence care, getting up and moving safely, eating and staying hydrated, and the morning, evening, and bedtime routines that make a day feel normal. It is done with dignity, at the person’s pace, by a caregiver who is a good personality fit.
Who it is for

- A spouse who is doing the lifting and transfers alone and should not be
- An adult child who lives far away and needs to know someone dependable is there every morning
- Anyone recovering from a fall, a stroke, or a life-changing diagnosis who needs non-medical support to stay home

- Bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Toileting and incontinence care
- Mobility, walking, transfer, standby, and fall-prevention assistance
- Eating, hydration, and morning, evening, and bedtime routines
- Medication reminders, safety monitoring, and protective oversight
- Light housekeeping and meals as part of the plan
What we do not do
- Skilled nursing, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment
- Injections or medication administration (we do medication reminders)
- Wound or drain care, feeding tubes, or respiratory treatment

- Emergency or medical transportation (rides are in an ordinary passenger vehicle, within our non-medical scope)
How it starts
- 1Call and tell us the story.A real person answers 24/7/365. We ask a few questions so you do not have to sort through everything alone. During the day we usually call back immediately or within the hour.
- 2A free consultation at home.We meet the person, walk the home, and talk through routines, safety, and what a good day looks like. No pressure, no package to fit into.
- 3A plan built around the person.A few hours, overnights, recovery support, or ongoing care. There is no required minimum number of care hours per day or week.
- 4A caregiver matched by personality. We match personalities, not only schedules and care needs. You always have the office to call, and care can go up or down as needs change.

Can caregivers help with bathing, toileting, and transfers?
Yes. That is the core of personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care, and safe transfers and walking. Caregivers provide standby and fall-prevention assistance and medication reminders. We do not administer medications or provide skilled nursing.
Is there a minimum number of hours for personal care?
No. There is no required minimum number of care hours per day or week. Some families start with a morning routine three days a week and grow from there.
How do you decide what help is needed?
It starts with a phone call and a free in-home consultation. We meet the person, walk the home, and build the plan around their routines and preferences, not a standard package.
Can personal care be combined with overnight or 24-hour care?
Yes. Personal care is part of every overnight and 24-hour plan. See our overnight care and 24-hour care pages, or call and we will map it out.
Do you serve outside Longmont?
Yes. Our licensed territory reaches into Boulder, Weld, and Larimer counties, including Loveland, Boulder, Erie, Firestone, Berthoud, Johnstown, Windsor, and Greeley.
