How home care pricing works in Longmont

We do not publish a rate sheet, and we will tell you exactly why: a real number needs a real conversation. What we can do is explain what moves the number, what does not, and how families actually pay for care, so the call is short and the answer is honest.

What moves the number

  • Hours per week. Care is billed by the hour. More hours in a week generally means a lower hourly figure; a few hours here and there is still welcome, because there is no required minimum.
  • Time of day. Overnights, extended shifts, and 24-hour care staffed in shifts are priced differently from daytime hours. Overnights are often the easiest place to start, because the schedule is simple to define.
  • Level of help. Companionship and homemaking sit at one end; hands-on personal care, dementia care, and recovery support sit at the other. The plan is built around the person, not a package.
  • Where you are. Our territory covers Boulder, Weld, and Larimer counties. For the far end of it we will be honest about which schedules make sense. Mileage may apply for errands in a caregiver’s vehicle.

What does not move it

  • No required minimum number of care hours per day or week
  • No long-term contract; service agreements adapt as needs change
  • No hidden fees
  • No charge for the in-home consultation

How families pay

  • Private pay. Most of our families pay with personal funds. We invoice for the hours provided.
  • VA/TriWest. We are an authorized VA/TriWest home care provider. Eligible Veterans, and in some cases their spouses, may access VA programs that fund home care. Eligibility is decided by the VA; we help you take the next step. Veteran home care
  • Long-term care insurance. Most policies cover in-home care. We do the documentation legwork weekly and communicate with the carrier for you.
  • Medicare and Medicaid. Medicare generally does not cover ongoing non-medical care, and we do not accept Medicaid. We would rather say it here than surprise you later.

Pricing questions, answered plainly

Do you publish your rates?

No. We do not publish a rate sheet online because a fair number depends on hours, time of day, and level of care, and we would rather give you an exact figure for your situation on a short call than a range that turns out to be wrong. There are no hidden fees.

Is there a minimum?

No. There is no required minimum number of care hours per day or week, and there is no long-term contract. Care can go up or down as needs change.

Does Medicare pay for home care?

Medicare generally does not cover ongoing non-medical care. It may cover short-term skilled home health (nursing or therapy) after a hospital stay, which is a different service from ours. Some Medicare Advantage plans include limited in-home support; check your plan.

Do you accept Medicaid?

No. We do not accept Medicaid. Our primary payers are personal funds, VA/TriWest, and long-term care insurance.

Can you help with long-term care insurance?

Yes. We do all of the legwork weekly: documentation of hours and services, and authorized communication with the carrier and the care team. Zeus on our team helps families work through it.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The in-home consultation is free and there is no obligation. It is how we build a plan and give you a real number.
